Ronald Frederick "Ron" Atkinson (born 18 March 1939) commonly known as "Big Ron" and (earlier in his managerial career) "Mr Bojangles" is an English former football player and manager. During the 1990s and early 2000s he was one of Britain's best-known football pundits. His idiosyncratic turn of phrase has led to his utterances becoming known as "Big-Ronisms" or "Ronglish".He spent his entire playing career at Oxford United, where he still holds the record as the club's highest appearance maker. As a manager he won the FA Cup with Manchester United in 1983 and 1985 and the Football League Cup with Sheffield Wednesday in 1991 and Aston Villa in 1994.
